A Message from Mark Many people don't realize that I've written several books besides Kaffir Boy. Like Kaffir Boy, my other books celebrate the power of knowledge, our common humanity and the resiliency of the human spirit. They include the sequel, Kaffir Boy in America, which was also a national bestseller; Love in Black & White, a modern-day classic about interracial love and relationships that I co-authored with my wife, Gail; African Women, which tells the life stories of my mother, sister and grandmother; and Miriam's Song, the story of my sister Miriam's coming of age amid the violence of the last days of apartheid. If you like listening to books on tape, you'll enjoy the two-cassette audio version of Kaffir Boy, read dramatically by a professional actor. If you're a student who has been assigned to read Kaffir Boy, you may want to get The Official Study Guide to Kaffir Boy or a summarized version of Kaffir Boy that gives you the whole story in less than 35K words and can be downloaded immediately. This website is also home to The Magdalene Scholarship Fund, which I named after my mother, Magdalene, who taught me the value of an education. The fund provides books, uniforms and school fees for orphans and other needy children at the Bovet Primary School in my hometown of Alexandra, whose thirst for knowledge is similar to the kind I had when growing up. If you're doing research for a school paper or other project, you might want to read some of the articles I've written over the years. Please be kind enough to tell others about this web site. And remember to spread love, joy, kindness, compassion and peace wherever you are, and to fight injustice, oppression, hatred and intolerance. Na Khensa -- Thank you. Quote Of The Day
